this saturday's mentoring was quite happening. we had a welcome tea for all new mentors. the respond was overwhelming as we had like 30 plus new mentors.. hmm i think including the previous mentors, we had like 40 over mentors.. think this is the biggest intake ever.. and i do hope that most of them will stay and pass this mentoring spirit on and on..
my mentee's name is called Aaron. he is a sec 2 kid in bukit merah sec sch. he is skinny, specty and out spoken. i think he is obsessed in gaming such as maple and dota.. but as a mentor, i must ask him to play less and study more haha.. on the contrary, i went out for a lan session at park lane with another 3 of the mentees, namely, darren, Alvin and Joel.. so in the end 5 of us were playing dota at the lan shop.. there were also 2 more felmale mentees there as well, namely mun yee and Avery.. hmm i hope i get all their names spelt correctly.. haha.. the gals are not into lan gamings so they stayed for a while and went to orchard. its really a pity that i did not have enough time to talk to them. perhaps i will make it up when i get to see them next well.. but then again this coming sat is BP mentoring's 11th anniversary and i am allocated three assignments.. one of which is to mend the reception table, then collect refreshments of the guest of honour, and finally becoming a station master for a game to be played by the mentees that day..
the feeling of going out with them is funny.. i cant explain why.. i guessed is the age gap between us bah.. we are all separated by a difference of 8 yrs..not a very huge difference but there are lots of things that we can do for a 8 yr long period.. oh but it is really strange when i heard Aaron calling me kor kor while he was beside me the lan shop and asking kor kor to run away from danger in game.. lol.. he also called me teacher when i was teaching him science at the very 1st time i met him... hmm.. it makes me wonder how would i address someone who is older than me if ever i would meet someone like this.. haha.. ok after much considerations.. maybe kor kor doesnt sound that funny after all.. haha or perhaps u could simply treat me as ur friend.. i hope that i can be friend to all... and may all my friends be blessed!
